Privacy Policy

Introduction
KickDNA is an independent fan experience inspired by the FIFA World Cup. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FIFA. This policy explains what information KickDNA uses and how it is handled.
Information We Collect
KickDNA does not require an account, email address, or payment details. The only information involved is your answers, match result, and generated personality narrative — all stored locally in your browser.
How We Use Information
Your answers are scored deterministically on your device to produce a team match. When you view your result, your answers may be sent to our server to generate an AI-powered personality narrative. The narrative is returned to your browser and cached locally.
What We Send to Our Servers
When you finish the question flow and open your result page, KickDNA sends only your answer selections to our API endpoint. We do not collect your name, email, or other personally identifying information. Requests are rate-limited using your IP address in memory to prevent abuse; this data is not stored long-term.
Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare — hosts the application and processes AI narrative generation via Workers AI.
- Google Fonts — serves Bebas Neue and Inter typefaces used on the site.
- Unsplash — provides a background image on the landing page hero section.
Local Storage
KickDNA stores the following keys in your browser's local storage:
kickdna-progress— current question indexkickdna-answers— your selected answerskickdna-result— your team match resultkickdna-ai— your generated personality narrative
You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings, or by using the Discover Again option on your result page.
Cookies and Tracking
KickDNA does not use analytics trackers, advertising cookies, or a tracking dashboard. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Sharing
Sharing your result is entirely optional and user-initiated. You may download a share card image or use your device's native share feature. Shared links may include a team identifier in the URL query string (for example, ?team=argentina).
Children
KickDNA is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of KickDNA after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
